Aydogan & Sule Arkis

Aydogan and Sule Arkis have been interested in Tango since 1998. They share their experiences since years. They trained hundreds of students upto know. Their first teacher is Cetin Cengiz.

Aydogan and Sule started teaching in BailaTango, between 1999-2001. They founded TangoTurk with other 9 teachers in 2001. Since 2002, September, they have their own group called El Encuentro.

They got important role in some important organizations; They managed ColorTango concerts in Istanbul in 2001. In 2002, they finalized the organizations with Graciela Gonzalez, and Eric Jeurissen.

They established the first Tango E-mail list in 1998. It has more than 1400 members now.

In 1998, they published the first and only international web site of Tango in Turkey in English, www.tangointurkey.com , that contains both historical, and current tango information. There are some samples of TurkTango in the site.

They played important role in establishin tango community in North Cyprus, and they teach regularly there.

Beside organizing workshops, and tango camps with well-known couples, such as, Gustavo Naviera-Giselle Anne, Milena Plebs - Ezequiel Farfaro, Andrea Misse - Leandro Palou, Geraldine Rojas - Javier Rodriguez, they organized the First International Tango Festival in Istanbul, in June 2004. The festival hosted the master stars of Tango like, Ezequiel Paludi - Sabrina Masso, Mauricio Castro - Carla Marano, Adrian Veredice - Alejandra Hobert, Los Hermanas Manaca with 2 orchestras for 5 days. As a couple they received both group, and private classes from the worldwide masters, and performed in different organizations. Please check training box at the top for details.

Aydogan has been producing the tango radio program "Milonga" since 2004 in Acik Radyo FM 94.9
